Course 3: Comprehensive Management of the Overhead Athlete: Performance Optimization, Injury Rehabilitation, and Return-to-Sport

This advanced course equips sports medicine professionals with a comprehensive framework for evaluating, rehabilitating, and optimizing overhead athletes across the full continuum of care. Participants will develop a deep understanding of sport-specific biomechanics, kinetic chain integration, and common injury patterns affecting the shoulder and elbow. Emphasis is placed on objective assessment and data-driven decision-making using both clinical tools and performance technologies. The course outlines criteria-based progressions from early rehabilitation through return-to-throwing and high-level performance development. By the end, clinicians will be prepared to design individualized programs that enhance durability, reduce injury risk, and support safe, effective return to sport.

Course 4: Advanced Electrical Dry Needling (EDN): Evidence-Based Clinical Integration

This advanced-level course is designed for clinicians who have foundational dry needling training and are ready to integrate electrical stimulation to enhance patient outcomes. The curriculum emphasizes a deep understanding of current research, neurophysiology, and dosing strategies, paired with practical, hands-on clinical application.
Participants will explore the mechanisms of intramuscular electrical stimulation, including its effects on the central and peripheral nervous systems, pain modulation pathways, and tissue healing processes. Evidence demonstrates that combining electrical dry needling with other interventions can significantly improve pain and function compared to traditional approaches alone . Clinicians will critically analyze current literature to understand when, why, and how to implement EDN for maximal therapeutic benefit.
The course focuses heavily on clinical decision-making and parameter selection, including frequency, intensity, pulse width, and treatment duration, and how these variables influence outcomes such as pain reduction, neuromuscular activation, and tissue remodeling . Advanced protocols will be taught for treating complex musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, spasticity, and performance-related dysfunction. Through case-based learning and lab application, clinicians will develop the ability to seamlessly integrate EDN into real-world practice—enhancing efficiency, improving patient outcomes, and expanding their clinical skillset. The end goal is not just understanding the research, but confidently applying it to deliver precise, high-level, evidence-driven care.
